Mother Firecatcher was among the most corrupt of the spiritual leaders of the Sisters of the Flame. Mother Firecatcher used a derivative of thieves' root poison to kill King Karayan and his household. The act was taken out of vengeance after Kiing Karayan broke off his relationship with Mother Firecatcher and announced his relationship to Princess Willowcup.
