The Exalted Warrior is the ruler of World Carrick and sovereign of the people who call themselves Sarl.

The Exalted Warrior is always a woman, and the symbols of her office are the Sword of Justice and the Ruby Medallion. The formal handing on of the Sword from one Exalted Warrior to the next happens at the Confluence of the Three Moons. Prior to this moment, the Crystal Spirits make themselves visible to people they choose.

When an Exalted Warrior reaches 40 years of age, she prepares to pass on the leadership role to a younger warrior. She herself, partakes in the Choosing Rituals in order to identify a mate and help her prepare for the second phase of her life.

The crest of the Exalted Warrior is five intertwined golden rings surrounding a stylized representation of a Borromean thistle. Some noted Exalted Warriors
