Well, during this acute health challenge, 44 years old seemed much closer to the end than to the beginning for me! My energy was low, my challenges were high, and everything seemed to be spinning. Three nights after my 15 Minute Manifestation birthday, I actually thought I was headed to the emergency room for my demise.

Fortunately, I survived that night and got treatment the next day that slowly made my condition better, not worse. How I got on the path of treatment to make my condition worse and not better is another story for another time. My chronic condition is now actually gone and my follow-up doctor's visit went well yesterday. Resolving this chronic condition was a goal I had set for myself in the beginning of the year. I just didn't anticipate the having to go on the journey I did to get here.

Sometimes a shift in focus to more basic survival needs in several areas of your life is needed to clear your mind and body for the journey forward. As John F. Kennedy once said, "The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word 'crisis'. One brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger-but recognize the opportunity." During the month of May, I am going to share my lessons of the last 28 days and several survival tips to help others first survive so they can then thrive during these tough times!

Life is not always a bowl of cherry. At times everyone faces frustrations, setbacks, assorted unwanted situations and temporary roadblocks. If not properly handled, those can seriously impair any quest to climb the ladder of success. Enthusiasm is essential for optimum performance. That is why it should be protected and nurtured. The ideal way to positively impact enthusiasm is by focusing on the parts of our life that are doing well and by getting rid of any dead weights that burdens us needlessly.
