Time travels are my favorite kind of stories and Salado has its share of real ghost stories and real outlaws who actually stayed at the Stagecoach Inn, known back then as the Shady Villa Inn. So it seemed the perfect place to set the story.

I love visiting Salado, 45 minutes from Waco, and always wondered what it would be like if a woman somehow found herself back in old-time Salado and what she would do about it. But it's not just a case of being a fish out of water. Everyone thinks she belongs there. Even though she's supposed to be dead.
